Mobilizing Prayer through GACX Members

Bill & Rosie Pezzutti - GACX Prayer Mobilizers

From its beginning in 2011, prayer has been the foundation of GACX’s vision to plant one healthy, multiplying church for every one thousand people around the world. Over the past ten years, GACX’s members have joined together through Prayer Summits, regional and national meetings, strategic initiatives (like Children & Youth and Marketplace Engagement), the GACX Forum. and member-to-member prayer gatherings.

GACX is all about partnership and collaboration, so we are grateful to see our member organizations taking the lead to catalyze worldwide movements of prayer. Invited by the Spirit, united through in-person and online gatherings, and compelled to invest time in this most important collaborative work, we praise God for all the ways He is moving among His people to seek His face and lead us.

As GACX’s Prayer Mobilizers, we celebrate the many ways GACX members can take part in prayer initiatives. Here are several that we invite you to join.

GACX Forum 2021

Thirty days of prayer and fasting begin August 29 in advance of the GACX Forum.  Please consider participating in this time of prayer and fasting. To sign up for one or more days, go to forum.gacx.io/prayer

International Prayer Connection (IPC)

Under the leadership of Dr. Jason Hubbard, IPC is mobilizing prayer with a monthly 1st Friday Go Pray online prayer gathering. This is a time for all of us to pray for the global harvest in the nations and share together a few strategic prayer points for the month of August. The next Go Pray will be Friday, Aug 6 at 9 AM (EST). Learn more about info 1st Friday Go Pray.

Igniting Prayer Action (IPA)

Founded by Colin Millar, IPA has been actively involved in praying with GACX Executive leadership, the board and assisting in prayer at the Forum for a number of years. IPA is modeling and teaching others to practice the challenging art and discipline of waiting on God. The foundation of this discipline is based on a book written by Andrew Murray, Waiting on God. Most recently, IPA has been training pastors and leaders in Burundi via a three-day training entitled, “Waiting on God/Luke 10 Transformation Awakening.” As Bishop Simeon Baseka from Burundi stated “I have learned to pray [though this training] without moving my mouth but my heart hearing God. When I am silent my heart is moved by God.” For more info, go to www.ignitingprayeraction.org

The Prayer Covenant for Children

Led by Candy Marballi, The Prayer Covenant is having an amazing impact through children and youth around the world. Through prayer tools and curriculum, tangible training and activated prayer focused on discipleship, church growth, and multiplication are taking place. There’s a great story of this in their July Newsletter. Prayer and mission working together through kids! How great is that?! Learn more at theprayercovenant.org

Go Decade

Go Decade is mobilizing prayer and mission by organizing a “Global Adopt a People” task force and movement to better focus the Body of Christ on praying to the Lord of the Harvest for the remaining major Unreached Peoples of our world. The task force is under the leadership of John Robb, Chairman and CEO Emeritus of IPC. John’s heart is to see the fulfillment of God’s command in Matthew 9:38.

No question, prayer changes things!  Our joy is to see the Body of Christ united more than ever to pray with and for each other, to lift up specific needs, and fight the battles of this world on our knees. If not already actively involved in a regular prayer time with others, we encourage you to sign up today and get started. As you’ll quickly discover, God moves powerfully when His people pray.  Discover more at www.gomovement.world
