GACX Posture
The posture of GACX is to share ideas and learn from one another with humility, curiosity, and grace. We encourage members to ask probing questions and listen well. We do not expect all members to share the same perspective, use the same methods, or draw the same conclusions. We hope all members will contribute to constructive dialogue on complex issues.
GACX is a connector. We connect organizations with one another and with the resources, research, and tools they need to accelerate church multiplication.
We are centrist. Our alliance includes organizations utilizing legacy and movement church planting models. We don’t prescribe, promote or elevate only one type of methodology, tool, or perspective. We promote unity but not uniformity. We elevate the exclusivity and supremacy of Christ, the power and authority of Scripture, and the beauty of Christ’s church unified around our common mission and our shared love for God.
We affirm the Statement of Faith of the World Evangelical Alliance and embrace the following beliefs and commitments:
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
GACX Commitments
All matter: God loves the whole world. We mobilize every resource and use every gift under our care to reach every person with the gospel.
All methods: There is one Church. We love, respect, and affirm any size, expression, tradition, and ministry methodology of the church, provided that Jesus is proclaimed as Lord and King, and the Bible is elevated as the Spirit-inspired inerrant Word of God.
All multiply: Living organisms reproduce. We all use the tools, strategies, and methods God has given us to creatively multiply disciples, leaders, faith communities and churches.
All together: We are better together; therefore, we love, inspire, support, and learn from one another.
All in: God’s kingdom is bigger than any organization, church, or denomination. We focus on what unites us and work together humbly, intentionally, and strategically.
All God: We can do nothing without God. We pray, mobilize prayers, believe, and take faith actions to further the gospel of Jesus Christ.
