Dr. Bekele Shanko
President
Dr. Bekele Shanko’s mission statement is, “To serve the purpose of God in my generation by empowering the Body of Christ for world evangelization that results in the holistic transformation of humanity.” Born and raised in Ethiopia, Bekele Shanko accepted God’s mission call in 1993, serving with Campus Crusade for Christ (now known as “Cru”). Since then, he’s earned several degrees and has held various leadership roles in Cru. Bekele serves as Cru's Global Vice President, leading the Global Church Movements division. In 2011, Bekele launched GACX, a global alliance for church multiplication.
